COPE Program At Hahobas
COPE stands for Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience. During resident camp, Senior Patrol Leaders must sign up their Troop in order to take part in these group-based activities. During the remainder of the year, groups desiring to use the COPE course should contact the Council office in Tacoma to make arrangements.
Younger scouts/participants, those new to COPE, or anyone can start out with our Low COPE course. Here they will take on obstacles designed to promote teamwork, communication, leadership and trust.
We are excited this year (2013) to offer our newly rebuilt High COPE elements, along with our always popular zipline. In our High COPE course a Scout faces physical and mental challenges, overcoming his fears and developing self confidence. Scouts/Participants of the age of 13 or older who have already tackled Low COPE are invited to try their hand at High COPE.
For a scout seeking adventure and excitement, Project COPE is the place to go.
Art Wegner is the COPE Director for the Council.
